Problem with male OSFF

Yesterday I noticed my male OSFF is in a bad way. He has what look like several blisters on his first dorsal spike that are the same yellow as the spike. And he has a swollen area on his right side. It came on very rapidly, within 36 hours max. He is eating well but having a little trouble handling the flow. He's obviously weakened by his condition.

Of course, difficult to photograph but I did get one decent one and a couple others. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

Also, the tip of his snout is slightly swollen.

Thanks for chiming in, Greg. That seems like a possibility. I've never seen sting symptoms. I noticed another "bubble" between the pelvics yesterday. I think it was there already along with the rest. The bump on the side of the fish seems a little smaller today and I think/hope he's seeming to swim a bit stronger. We'll see what happens.

He appears stronger this morning. The bump on the side is definitely reduced. The blisters are still present in number but slightly reduced in volume. I thought he was a goner but things are looking up a bit. Thanks for your thoughts, oh fish of monkey.
