problem with osmolator pump

The pump to my osmolator is making a racket, any suggestions to quiet it down? Its only been hooked up for a week.

When you say a racket, do you mean like a bit a whine? Many attempt to hang the pump, since it is quite lightweight, slightly off the bottom of the resivior using the cord to not let it touch anything to transfer sound or vibration

Hanging has helped slightly, but there is still an extremely loud whir. I've heard others pumps and they are much quieter. It has persisted for over a month now, so I think a break-in period can be ruled out. Should I email to get the pump replaced, or is there another procedure?

Thanks much.

if it pumps water then it's fine. mine makes quite a bit of "whining" noise, but works so i just leave it alone.

I've heard others, and I think mine is abnormally loud. Loud enough to wake me up in the middle of the night, so I don't think its fine.

Everytime I read about them I heard they were a little noisy. Mine sounds kinda like someone running a remote control car. I don't mind it. It's a few seconds and it lets me know it's working.

Yup, I have heard ones that are working properly and they are somewhat noisy, but nothing like mine. It easily drowns out all other noise coming from my tank. (vortechs on full blast, a noisy overflow that I havent got around to fixing, etc.)

Shawn or Roger, are there procedures for getting a replacement? Thanks.
