Problem with osmolator

I finally got around to installing my osmolator this evening and I'm running into a problem. I installed 2 separate rails with the sensor on one and the safty float on the other. After installing all wires and getting the water level where I wanted It was time to test it out. When the water level went below the sensor the pump kicked on and everything worked as planned. I did this a couple of times to make sure and was successfull each time. I think tested the Too High float I raised the water level completely submerging the sensor(even part of the wire) until the the float activated the alarm. Great! It works! I thought I was home free at this point. I then started lowering the water level causing the alarm to turn off. Once tghe alarm went off the Too low light came on and started to pump water into the tank even though the sensor was still submerge in water. This continued until I had to unplug the unit because I didn't want to drop too much water lowering my salinity. I gave it a good minute to stop but the Too Low light continued to stay on and water still pumped in. Am I doing something wrong? This is a brand new unit with a sensor that has never been used.

Thanks
John

It is just because it is brand new. Rinse it under hot water and wipe it dry with a paper towel. This has been a problem of late because the new machine we have is too perfect and the parts are so smooth they repel water- new plastic tends to do this. Once it is seasoned in after a couple days it will work normally but the hot water trick usually fixes it right away.

Wow!! great response time. Now if I could just get my son to respond to me this fast I would be a happy man!! :)

I will rinse it under hot water and let it break in. Thanks
