problem with sensor

Has anyone else had a problem with the ATO system. It seems like if then sensor gets fully submerged it will start pumping make up water. This has happened to me twice, where I will turn off the make up pump, the water level will rise, then the make up water pump turns on. I have had to move the float switch down to make sure the sump dosent overflow.

Whenever I turn the osmo off, then back on, it always pumps for a second or two even if the water level is touching or over the sensor. Is your Osmolator continuing to pump the water for more than a few seconds?

Air bubbles are a big issue since the sensor uses infrared light and measures reflection. Otherwise Rob has a good point too.

Thanks for the speedy reply, it looks like I made a mistake with a baffle and am having bubbles near the sensor, I will fix it tomorrow. Besides the problem, I really like the design, the backup float switch lets me sleep at night.

Yep I fixed tha baffels to reduce air bubbles and have not had a problem for 2 days.

My Next question is, does anyone replace the top off pump? It is now the loudest thing in my system.

Make sure it isn't leaning against anything, have it suspended by the cord. Also give it a week or so.
