problems with a 6100

Hi Roger. I recently added 6100's with the controller to my tank. I put them on tide mode with a pulse. after running fine for a week, one of the Streams has started to have problems. When the controller switches to it, the alarm goes off, and the prop does not start turning right away. After a couple of seconds, the prop suddenly starts turning and the alarm goes off. I can put it onto the regular pulse mode with no tidal turn off, and it works fine, but when I switch back to tide mode, the same thing happens. What should I do to correct this? Thanks

There are two possibilities. One is that the parts are not aligned properly or have some sand or packing debris in them or even just air. Take the drive unit out and make sure the collar is properly inserted, the magnet well is clean of debris and that the magnet is reinserted under water to eliminate any air and pushed in firmly.

The other possibility is an electronic anomaly, these are generally of two minor types that are best resolved with just uping the low speed. Sometimes it happens that the driver or controller is able to slow the pump beyond 30% and at these very low speeds not enough power goes to the pump. This can be corrected with an adjustment but it is much easier to just increase the power on the controller slightly to compensate. Otherwise you could send it in and I will recalibrate the speed control. Make sure that the driver is at full power if you are using a controller.

Hi Roger, I have done both things, and the problem continues. I cleaned everything thoroughly and adjusted the speed. En at 100% it still go into alarm mode then after about 10 seconds starts. The other 6100 is working flawlessly in this mode. Let me know what to do. Thank you.
