Prodibio and VSV

Excellant! Thanks aquariumclown.

I will dose in the morning when I can keep an eye on the tank.

Does my dosing sound correct

Sorry I can't comment on the dosage for your size tank. I have a 150gal tank and I'm figuring 1 ampule for all the different elements on the first week, following the instructions on the box exactly. Tomorrow will begin my second week, so I will dose 1 ampule of strontium and 1 ampule of reef booster.

I would recommend that when you dose the Reefbooster, you do so in the evening or whenever your lights are out... As stated, it will cloud up your water, but also you have better polyp extension when the lights are off... Also be sure to turn off your skimmer for at least a half hour so it all doesn't end up in the collection cup... ;)

Would it not be better to wait for the amps to "clean" the system some before doing the reefbooster?

My RS250 in my big tank went a little nuts last night for NO reason and collected about 3/4 of a collection cup of very thin skimmate. It's never done that before.

The RS135 in my 90 that got way more bacteria in relation to system size has not.

Weird!

Yes, you want to wait until your nitrates and phosphates drop to very low levels... :)

Hi,
For those just starting out with Prodibio and adding the reefbooster, you are playing with fire :). Best to wait until your levels drop down to near zero.

What are the "amps"?

And following tatoofr's advice I will be holding off on the reefbooster for a while. Although I have been dosing VSV for about 8 months and show undetectable NO3 and PO4.

Am I correct in starting dosing with the Biodigest and the Stronti+ today?

Thanks for all the help folks

ampules...

I've fed my tanks with Rods, reef nutrition products an hour or two after the lights are off since I had them, but I wanted to give this prodibio a try and see if it will curb some HA going on in the 175. My 90 only has what algae I let grow on the back glass for the tangs.

I think you can add all but the booster at the same time. It just makes more sense to dose it a month or so in since it's nutrients to compensate for what the bacteria is pulling out.
