Glassbox,
I take it the Reefbooster is not a replacement for seperate coral food and Amino Acid routines.

Tough to say. I am sure it can suffice for certain systems. Others will become too low nutrient and need additional supplementation.

Booster is good stuff  Many people just add supplements like booster too early before nutrients are significantly reduced.

i'm thinking of starting up prodibio in my tank but since i currently am dosing on a weekly basis stronium/iodide/coral vita-amino , would i stop dosing these once i start the bio clean vials?
thanks in advance.

i am running a 100 gal with refugium so appx 125 gals total.

I stopped dosing everything once I started the Prodibio. I have been away from the tank for 2 weeks and I return home tonight. The person who has been maintaining my tank, he states that all is well and there is more coraline growth. I will see tomorrow since the light will be off by the time I get home.

Can ozone be run at the same time?
How about running carbon and Phos guard in reactors at the same time?

I've been using it, but I haven't been faithful with it. I want to be faithful and just made up my dosing chart.
I have 120 g tank with 30g fuge/sump. Can I still run macro at the same time?

I run Macro and Phosar. Most ppl do not run GFO and Prodibio. Ozone, should be shut off. I hear it will kill the good bacteria that we are providing with the Prodibio.

It was recommended to me to only buy the BioClean and Booster. Not many recommend to dose the Iodine and Strontium.

The BioClean has the Optim and Digest in it.

so with this system I gather you use the Digest and BioOptim.

I currently dose with a two part every day for Calcium and Alk; I also does Zeo AA every night.

I assume you use these two Prodibio supplements as directed in this thread; I have also read that you need a supplement to keep the bacteria alive, like ZeoStart to give the bacteria a carbon source.

When dosing these, do I continue the two part as scheduled, and do I continue to dose my amino acids as I have on a daily basis?

And is the ZeoStart necessary to use with the Prodibio supplements?

I plan to use a half vial of each for my tank; it is a 30 gallon aquarium.

Thanks for the help guys!

Yes, both are needed. Digest is the bacteria. Optim is the carbon source and bac nourishment.

No extra C-Source is needed, so no go to zeostart...let prodibio work as intended. (JMO)

The AA's will be a nice addition. Two-Part is a must to keep cal/alk stable. Bring levels to NSW.

You can add the whole ampoule of Digest (Bac), but use appropriate dose of Optim.

Yes continue with B-ionic. Try to do weekly waterchanges to keep ions balances and trace elements up. This is a bit more important with the bacteria driven systems. Try to get levels to NSW before starting Prodibio...will help, and no chance of STN/RTN from alk issues. JMO.

ok....so i gather i'll start with the digest and bio vials 1 of each per week for 6 weeks then every other week, i start reef booster on seventh week and continue weekly. in the meantime no more dosing of other additives.....do i still run phos reactor and carbon reactor? i also run a kalk reactor and cal reactor and skimmer.

i know i'll keep feeding fish/sps just no more vitacoral/iodide/stronium correct?

At least in the beginning, wouldn't how often you dose depend on the bioload, how much gunk you already have in your tank, or how impatient you are to see results?

The frequency should not change, the amount depends on your water volume. Do not increase the dosage if you have a really high nutrient tank. It may take longer to lower the nutrients, but good results will happen. Patience is the key.

I have been dosing Bioclean for about 4 weeks now. I see that my leathers have started to fade in color. Really pastel look. Is this normal. I have also noticed that I still have some algae. Its very minor making my rocks look fuzzy. I test for phosphates and all of the kits (salifert, Elos, seachem) comes up undetectable.

i read on customers review (marine depot i think) that your alk should be between 6-8 dkh otherwide your corals may show ill effects........anyone have some feedback.

i usually run alk between 9-10 dkh.
