To clarify the subject, here is my experience with both products....
SP is used to promote health of filter feeding sponges which helps in water quality, it also is said to increase growth in the tips of acroporas and to help in recovery of acroporas. I find it to be an addtional c-source as I detect vinegar in the solution.
Zeo Spur, IME pulls zooxanthellae from beneath the coral tissue exposing more of the skeleton of the coral, resulting in glowing coloration and less brown appearance/or total zooanthellae density. I use this one with EXTREME CAUTION, much less than recommendation and maybe once per week. I see the results 2-3 days later. Recently is took my Pearlberry from a struggling dull color to intense pearl color as it should naturally have. I had the Pearlberry looking insane, note my AVATAR, but after a recent move, it began to dull and brown out. I simply was having a hard time getting the color back to the orignal state, Zeo Spur has helped this process, but please use much later down the line into your ULNS.
