has anybody heard of or used this product. Its called new algae. A friend of mine in North Carolina is using it I told him I would try and find out some information on it.

Yes i read there website too. That dosnt mean much. They can say anything they want. Im looking to see if any reefers have personal experience

as far as I am concerned it is snake oil until I hear otherwise.
I am VERY leery of anything that "works" in fresh and salt water.

The owner answered some questions a few months ago, and all requests for any scientific backup kept getting deflected.
It is a silicate based trace mineral supplement that is supposed to grow better diatoms in your tank. I don't want more silicate in my tank, and I definitely am not dosing trace elements without knowing what my current levels are at.
Roger, if you want a bottle I won one at Macna as a door prize that I won't be using if I didn't pitch it already, I'm pretty sure they stopped sending out free bottles.
