Profilux 2 Light Bar

Will this unit work on the New AI SOL Super Blues? I see that this works on the older units but is there an firmware upgrade to do this?

Got the cable but can't talk to the unit from my laptop? I read the post on what to do with this problem but doesn't make sense. I can't figure out how to change the com port form 1 to 2.

Getting to be a big headache. When I try to save it gives me a comm error. Can't save anything. Also do AI modules need to be connected to be reconized and tunze pumps also?

What firmware are you using with your Light II bar currently?

5.06 is required to control the 3 Channel Aqua Illumination lamp.

If communication is breaking, I suspect there may be a configuration issue with the USB-Serial adapter.

You can pre-configure your settings for you Tunze and Ai fixture, then plug them in to the ports you set up after, they do not have to be connected directly when programming.

The version of the software is 4.0.8.1. When I use the the software of 5 or higher I have no comm problems. The firmware version in the light bar is 5.03

I just upgraded to 5.06. Is channel 1 for whites, 2 for blues and 3 for royals or is this the opposite? I thought I read somewhere that the whites were 3, blues stayed on 2 and royals on channel1.

I have all the updates loaded. I have the unit set for the 3 channel AI in the special lamp area. When I go to the illumination channels to setup the lights all I see is time and brightness but to place to set the ramp up.

you need to set a complete dimming curve of diferent times

for example in ILL 1

press new

time 1: 8.30am 0%

save

press new

time 12.30pm 80%

etc etc

this will set your dimming curve

GHL is different from the AI controller, you do not specify a "ramp time" you set a start time and Finish time.

So you would create a schedule like:

10am 0%
11am 100%
5pm 100%
6pm 0%

This means that the channel goes from 0-100% over the course of an hour from 10am to 11am, then at 5pm it dims down to zero over teh course of the hour, so at 6pm its back to 0.

Makes sense now. Will give this a shot. Thanks. One question about the tunze pumps. Am I correct in assuming that when I hook these up this will be L1 and L3 on the channels since I am not grouping.
