Profilux II stopped working and I ordered a PIII Upgrade Already!!!

Hi guys,
I need serious help with this one.
My Profilux stopped working yesterday. Came home all my lights and fans stopped working. Looked at the Profilux and the screen was lit (blue background light), but nothing showing (No display, numbers, etc..)
Tried to reconnect everything but still nothing only a lighted blue background on the display panel.
I've tried everything to fix it. The Profilux doesn't read on the computer when I connect it.
Can I do anything to fix it?
The problem is that I've already order a PIII upgrade and if this is broken I'm screwed according to the posts, I can't get the discounted price on the full PIII controller.
Please advise!!!

First DONT PANIC! Sounds like you have had a power spike and the firmware has been corrupted and needs re loading.

I don't know if this is already solved, but this can happen under these conditions:
- you didn't use the orginal ProfiLux-SER cable and the ProfiLux was connected over a !:! RS232-cable
- electric surge or very short power-cut in your household -> maybe powersupply and/or ProfiLux damaged

Hi Matthias,
Michael has gotten back to me. I'm just trying to get a 2 pin jumper to get the unit going right now, but haven't gotten one yet. Hopefully I can boot it up, if not, going to have to get back to you guys I connected my Profilux to a UPS power back up. I'm thinking there might have been a power surge.
