Ok you can show your ip address and all that. I just wouldnt advertise your dyns address or mac addresses.

Anyway. under NTP server you don't need anything.

And you don't need anything in the external web address slot.

Basically you need to go through the guide on marine mad external ip walkthrough.

It will be different for your linksys, but the concept is the same.

What netgear modem do you own. I am just going to go out and buy one that way it is all the same.

I cant find Sh*T in my linksys modem that relates to that tutorial

This is what I have. It's AWESOME. Only complaint is that for some reason it will block a pc or other wireless connected device, and will need to be restarted. This only happens about once every month or two

funny I went out and bought that exact one about an hour ago.


Ok I have set everything up like you have I can see my profliux in my LAN settings.

Now to the Marine Mad account.

Where do I find/get these settings:

Profilux Login Details - only required if using the controller app.
GHL User Name : ?????
GHL Password : ?????

Are you able to access your profiluc from your computer internet browser? If not don't even worry about the app yet. Did you set up all the port forwarding too?

Yes I tried entering the profilx IP address in the web browser and it did not connect.
I did not set up all the port forwarding. What is that?

Yeah, run through that entire tutorial, and you should be good to go. There are only minor differences.

Is the port forwarding the same as the firewall setup?

yeah, sorry. Its under firwewall rules. Just follow that whole guide step by step and it should work the first time...on your computer.

And you set your GHL password in profilux control under system...webserver

Your username is Admin...the A must be capitalized

Then you'll be able to access your profilux from a web browser.

should be under security. Are you using the web based software, or the cd? You want to access your modem through the web based system

Also, when I open up my weberver on the GHL there is already a username/password in there.

you can just change your password to whatever you want. Default password is Password I believe.

Ah, you have a newer version than I do. The set up is a little bit different. Do you have any firewall tabs at all? If not, then skip that part, and go on with the Lan set up portion where you reserve the ip address of your profilux.

You'll also need to input your dydns into the settings of your routers page. there should be a tab for that.
