Profilux or Neptune Controller???

I have an eye on a Profilux GHL controller......

I am also looking at a #3 Neptune Controller ....

Can anyone give me feedback on which one is better and
your opinion of why better etc??

Thanks kindly,

Tim

I own a Profilux II ex, and have friends with the neptune pro, there both great units, as far as upgrades the profilux is a little pricey compared to the neptune. The Profilux software is much nicer to use in my opinion, and I think at this stage of the game they are both coming out with new models soon so I would wait to see what's new unless you can get a good deal on a used unit that suites you!

Look to the Neptune Apex...it will be out later this month...it looks like a great controller for the money.

The programming language will have some improvements as well, bringing the functionality/flexibility in-line more with some of the newer controllers. Additionally Neptune will be adding more programming options/power later this year in a new firmware update.

The Apex also has 16MB of memory and is a 32-bit controller, so look for great upgradability in the future as new modules and software is developed for it.

Anyone have info on the new profilux model? For us non PC types, I love to see some web control like the AC line.

i just picked up a profilux 2+...

pretty awesome unit... what sold me is the lighting capability and storm, sunrise sunset using the led lighting that they sell...

it will be upgradable to their 3 version when it comes out ...of course not a cheap upgrade but still upgradable....

No Aquatronica? I love my aquatronica now that they've seemingly worked out many if not most of the kinks it originally had. I love it because of the programability and expandability. I just added a dosing module to my system for 2 part dosing and RO/DI topoff, and had the pH probe set up before in my calcium reactor, programmed to control the solenoid for CO2.

I'm also fortunate that there are a lot of people down here in south FL who use the same controller, so I've got a good sized base of people with experience with the units.

Of course there is the RKE as well. Most flexable and not based off old technology. Now that the kinks are pretty much worked out I enjoy it alot.

i just got the profllux and it is pretty slick....
the deciding factor for me was the simu led sticks for light storm/cloud/sunrise simulation...

since getting it and reading more..it is simply an amazing unit..
