has any one use these before? and how much do they cover? my tank is 60 long X 44 wide how many do you think id need?

These ar eone of GHL's most sort after accessories, I would say 75% of clients have at least one.

For this size tank you would need two.

They come with P clips so you have various options for mounting

Just digging this one up as I have just bought the Simu-L and need mounting advise. I too have the ATI PM 8 x 24 and was just going to mount it on the plexi-glass cover it in the middle. Would this be ok?

I think this would be too close to the heat of the bulbs. I have the same fixture (8x39w though) and just got a simu-l myself and thought about that same placement but it went out the window, especially after Michael said not by the heat of the bulbs.

Then I thought about putting it in place of one of my T5 bulbs, but dont want to lose a T5 bulb, I didnt want to drill and tap into the housing, but might end up doing that, or I might build something that sits ontop of the PM to counterweight the simu-l and build something off that.....

If anyone has one attached to a PM or Sunpower fixture, please post some pictures.....
