Profilux Stand Alone doser Questions...

I have some questions regarding the Profiluix stand alone electronic dosing pumps (NOT the units that connect to the controller!)...

*What are the dimensions of the 3 and 4 pumps units?

*Can the unit be mounted in any direction?

*Is all of the programming in English?

*What is the smallest dose possible with these units, and how many separate doses can this smallest dose be broken down into, within 24 hours?

*What hosing does the interior of the pump use (neoprene?), and how often does this hosing need to be replaced?

*How far from the reservoir can these pumps pump?

*Are the USA/Canada version completely 110V, or are any power transformers involved at all?

*Is warranty work, if required, performed in North America, or does any service work involve shipping the unit(s) back to Europe?

Thanks for the time and attention.

What are the dimensions of the 3 and 4 pumps units?

Both the same size all units use the same body you just remove the blank and add another peri pump unit 24x20x8cm

*Can the unit be mounted in any direction?

Pretty much yes, bearing in mind yo need access to the control panel

*Is all of the programming in English?

yes

*What is the smallest dose possible with these units, and how many separate doses can this smallest dose be broken down into, within 24 hours?

1ml min and 60ml per min max, total 24 programmes a day

*What hosing does the interior of the pump use (neoprene?), and how often does this hosing need to be replaced?

In all honesty dont know but never had a tube fail in 3 years of marketing the same unit without the controller, the pump is non servicable.

*How far from the reservoir can these pumps pump?

This all depends on what you are pumping and any incline

*Are the USA/Canada version completely 110V, or are any power transformers involved at all?

ALL 110V -12V DC supplied UL 110V -12V AC/DC transformer

*Is warranty work, if required, performed in North America, or does any service work involve shipping the unit(s) back to Europe?

All in canada via our dealers, so you only send to your dealer from there they deal with it.

Another Question: Can you do the programming on these units so that the seperate channels are never dosed at the same time, with each pump dosing alternatively when the other pumps are off?

Mmmmmmmm, I just wanna punch in as little programming as possible into this pricey doser (so I can stand back and enjoy my tank) and have it slowly dose my alk, Ca and Mg mixes each and every day, but never dose them at the same time, preventing precipiation of the elements from ever becoming an issue...

Manual...? Automatic...? Sounds like a lot of setting and things to fiddle with...?

I take it from Matthias that if I use the "automatic" mode the Profilux will just automatically make sure they are never dosed at the same time...?

If only everything was that simple in life, any doser you buy that has a controller you will have to program. Luckily also the GHL is the most affordable unit on the market with such great functionlality and service back up ;)

As said above - yes :)

I hear you about wouldn't it be nice if things were easier...! And I do agree that with your service and price point, these stand alone dosers seem hard to beat...

Can this unit pump my top off water with a total horizontal stretch of about 6 feet, with a total incline of around 2 feet?

One more question since I'm in the market for a stand alone doser as well.

Does the unit restart automatically after a power out?

TIA,

of course, the clock keeps running (goldcap) and the settings keep stored (EEPROM)

Excellent.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
