PROFILUX TEMP CONTROLLER AND SMS UNIT PRICING

Hi Erik,

We do not sell direct and have not done for a long time since we got our great dealer progressive reef up and running a while back and I am really pleased you are using their services, we support them heavily.

1. The unit does not need a great deal of flow rate, in fact the slower the better really, I am getting specific spec's in 10 days

2. Best kept flat, but not on carpet.

3. This all depends on what else you are running on the digital bar, drop me an email NOT pm and tell me the wattages of what you have. But one thing to remember is that the PTC will not be running at full bore 800W very often, if at all thats the beauty of these units.

I will drop Joel an email to discuss your order when back from Europe on the 27th May

Congrats on your purchase

Thanks, Michael. I'm now eager to get this new unit - patiently, of course - and look forward to being rid of my monster compressor based chiller.

Joel / Michael: let me know what you need to secure my PTC6 unit.

Standing by,

erik ages

Here are the facts on shipment.

We are planning to have a shipment of just chillers leave Germany by boat week 2 of June, this will include the Fauna Marin bulk order also. The ship takes approx 14 days and so I am "hoping" end of June.

For payment you will need to talk to Joel, I will not be liaising with him until the 27th May so you money is still safe :)

As always upfront and honest!

which model would you suggest for a 120 gallon & 40 gallon sump
It all depends on how much you need to cool or heat your tank.

The values set for the PTC are very much a guidline as Lorin states, it all depends on how hot (or cold) your tank area gets,, what sort of temp spikes do you see in a 24 hours period.

The beauty with the PTC is that it is not an on off devise, but instead constantly maintaining the ambient value, so in effect high output is not always required, but in saying that you must also take into account the enviroment the tank is in.

I am looking for a recomendation on which unit to use. I have a 69 gallon tank with a 25 gallon sump. That puts me between a PTC3 and 4 gallonage wise. My tank usually runs about 79 and goes up to 83 with the MH on. Would I be able to get away with the PCT3 or should I go to the next size up?

PTC1, 160 x 120 x 120, 100l, 140W
PTC2, 260 x 120 x 120, 200l, 280W
PTC3, 360 x 120 x 120, 300l, 420W
PTC4, 460 x 120 x 120, 400l, 560W
PTC6, 660 x 120 x 120, 600l, 840W

Are these power specs max draw? What is the running draw (avg draw) for the units or does draw vary upon cooling (pull down) need?

Hey Sean,
Not trying to spend any extra money I don't have to spend. I need to have some leftover money for corals.

I would go with the higher unit solely for more stability.
That way your corals will be happy.
It's only $250 PLUS there is a 10% discount right now.
So think of it as only $150 more. :)
