Project 1 smalish 1100 gallon fish only with life rock

20 blue green chromis:

My experience with these guys is to put them in last not first. They have to feel the tank has some aggression to it or they will kill each other off fairly quickly. They will keep their numbers up as long as the group feels threatened, if not they will turn on each other.

What a great build tagging along. There are plenty of great tangs you could add that would look great. The tank is big enough to put whatever you want.

little clip we made as an update when feeding NOri sheets to the fishes

Great build! How many lights did you end up going with, and are you happy with what you decided on?

we started with 10 AI Hydras but we removed 2 of them as it is more as sufficient for what we need it as the system is mainly fish so the few corals it will hold will be placed right underneath some modules to maximize efficiency lol.

would love again to get Moorish idols in the system. we tried before but they perished prity fast anyone any advise on how to keep them healthy as we seem to have bad luck most of the time with them in any system we build.

Moorish Idols are amazing fish but it can take a little extra care to get them feeding. You might want to try with a QT in a smaller system and offer them fresh clams to get them to eat. That is what I have done in the past with success. Once they start eating fresh clams them they will start to take some dry food as well.

added to the stock list
5 fire fish
2 green mandarins
2 yellow gobies
2 orange spotted gobies
3 blue spiny lobster
2 scooter blennies
