Would it be possible to create inside the aquarium breath taking pictures of a garden in autumn? Something rich in colors, something beautiful like these pictures.

I don't know, a new project with new challenges. I had a fascination with non-photosynthetic corals for a long time, but their feeding requirements were quiet a challenge to have success with them in long term. With new foods available on the market right now, keeping them are becoming more possible than it used to be. "Project"Autumn"" will be a journey into NPC world, enjoy the ride and stay tuned.

Tank

Tank

Tank: I keep on downsizing. This tank will be 18x18 cube(25gal) by Marineland. With slim overflow box on back wall(no valubale space wasting) this tank was good candidate for this project.

Overflow box was slightly modified to accept different plumbing parts.

Saw your tank today, I'm really diggin the way it all came together, simple and clean. Is that it's permanent home?

I see this coming out great in the future. I bet it'd be cool to do with zoas, cloves and GSP too. A NSP tank would be simply stunning, especially with heavy blue LEDs to really bring out the colors. Humm, maybe I could rescape my Biocube

damnit Roman, you have my gears turning

This kind of reminds me of a tank I loved on another forum. I'll be watching this

Thank You for tagging along, it will be more fun this way:D

Love Japanese maples, one of my favorite trees.
Good luck!

Gorgeous trees. I wish we had a better climate for them in Oklahoma.

I cant wait to see this!

Patience:D It is only begining;)

Sump and filtration

Sump and filtration

Sump and filtration: With azooxanthellae aquarium when it comes to filtration, bigger is better. Simple rule. 40gal breeder will serve as a sump. Almost twice bigger then display tank, sump will have three chambers.

sumpautumnresize.jpg

Settlment and protein skimmer chamber, return pump and GAC and GFO reactors chamber and refugium( this time it will be Miracle Mud with caulerpa refugium) chamber.

.......to be continued

I wish I could take and post better pictures.
Your autumn scape can be done.
Here are a couple of pics of my "Japanese maple" and fall colors.
If you like, when the tank is ready, I will give you some of the "Japanese maple" caulerpa.

Lauren;

putting 'non photosynthetic corals' in google will bring up tons of information including:

an article in advanced aquariast on feeding, and
a forum for npc:
non-photosyntheticcoralcare dot groupsite dot com

do npc corals require a lower temp then 76-78 degrees?
