May I ask where you got those snails? They look like the ones people get from the east coast, (because of the dark shell). If so, those are cold water snails and will not survive more than a few months in our warm water tanks. First hand experience here.

They were from florida. I usually keep my tank at about 75. I've had dark ones from the east coast before and they were fine. I'm sure they will be fine.

Just swapped my 2 year old T5s out, so base isn't bright but the green is already coming back after just a couple of days in new lights, polyps fully saturated. This photo represents what it looks like now, but when the green recovers the whole thing looks like the edge on the right.
