Prop tank substate

What are people using? I have a 75 I'm setting up for the solo purpose of proping zoas. Most the pics I see of zoa frags the substrate looks gravle size. Crushed coral maybe? What?
Thanks

In my prop tanks, I find it beneficial to run bare bottom setups so I can keep flow going along the bottom and keep the junk in suspension and eventually filtered out. I generally propagate softies and zoanthids.

Good that's how it is now....just seems that a lot of pics I see have a large partical substarat and wondered if they know something I don'e Thanks!

I have BB in my prop system with a powerhead pushing across the bottom to move out all the funk. When I frag zoas I have to turn of the powerhead for a few days if I don't glue them down good.
