Wanted to have you check my cuts for the glass. Should the bottom piece be 24x24. Does it make an aquarium stronger if the bottom pane is 24x24 and everything is glued on top? Just want to make sure. Dont want an explosion. Thanks

Here is how its being cut atm.
Cut List:

Bottom = 23 1/2 " x 23 1/2"
Front = 24 " x 12"
Back = 24 " x 12"
2 Sides = 12 " x 23 1/2"

Yes it is just the glass we are making the tanks ourselves.

Yes, I have decided to go with the measurements you emailed me. Building my stand today. Going to get a 25 gallon and set it up as a refugium. Its the perfect for the aquarium I think. So today here is what I am doing for the project.
Get over the hang over.

Go to home depot buy lots of wood :-)
Go to lfs buy a 25 gallon aga
Go buy paint for the stand.
Go by The Coral Reef Farm.

Build my lighting
Build a control panel for the aquarium.
Install my Ro/DI unit.
Put the refugium together.
Buy a pump
Will update my list. When I realize that i forgot something.

Did you finish the power center? I ended up just ordering the Am. DJ units from ebay.
 
I finished the tank on Saturday. Tested it for leaks today. None.

Hi,
I dont have a tank with those deminsions, but I have a glass tank that is 39 x 11 x 11. I am looking to trade it for some brightly colored ricordia or polyps.
