Prophylactic copper treatment question

bullitr

broke but happy
My qt tank was wipe out today since Hyposalinity doesn't work on velvet so i am planning to used 2 40 gallon breeder tank to do prophylactic treatment on my pending rebuild.

I will put them in 150Gallons for a week to make sure they are eating well and then transfer them in to separate system
One for Angels copper level 0.30
One for Tang copper level 0.50

I am using large sponge filter on both q tank. Should I used CPR bak pak too if needed

How often do I need to do water change and 1.020 salinity enough for the fish?
Also I am planning to qt a lot of fairy wrasse later on so can I keep them @ .030 copper level ?
I am not planning on doing hyposalinity again.

Thanks

Yes I would hookup that CPR back pack..IMO a quarantine, hospital tank should have more than just a sponge filter..

It should have good filtration, and vigorous water movement. A skimmer is real good because it oxygenates the water. On my 40gal + 29gal Q tanks. I got on each the largest Penguin biowheel filters, Marineland HOB cannister filter, and Eshopp skimmers..
