Proposed equip. list 30"x30"x16".

So I left behind a 100g. Moving to a 57(?)g. 30"x30"x16" high, rimless. I have ordered two vortech mp10's (the less electrical components touching water the better! I almost died from a hold-on electric shock from 240v house mains back when I was an apprentice plumber, dont know how I came off.. Wasn't nice.) I will be DIYing an acrylic sump; 25"x18"x16", water sitting at about 10". Lifegard Quiet One 3000, half the flow will be returning to the display, the other half will be feeding two PhosBan 150 reactors (GFO, NPX Biopellets) and feeding back to the fuge section.
Skimmer is a Deltec turbo ts1250, rated 500litres heavy stocking, 750litres normal stocking.. Obviously this is way overkill, will I run into any troubles with that?
Two MVAVA 80watt LEDs with a DIY Cree 4x royal blue/ 8x uv actinic LED (sunrise/sunset/actinic/moonlight) in the middle. Two 100w jäger heaters. 50kgs or so of live rock leftover from the 100 cooking at the moment so more than enough.
It will be a mixed reef. My livestock that will be going in include my lemonpeel angel, two Clarkiis and their BTA, mandarin, two skunk cleaners.. The rest were going to be too big, but that's cool. Any ideas for another fish to possibly add? Small reef compatible butterfly's?
Will be posting a picture of the build when everything arrives.

skimmer sounds a little big, but- cant hurt... looking forward to seeing the photos! I am planning on building a shallow reef tank in about 4 months.

Sounds cool. I agree, skimmer is overkill as some other items may or will work against each other .
Skimmer, bio-pellets, gfo ,fuge? , are reduce phos n nitrate.
I would use the fuge for macro algae n not bring the bio pellets or gfo reactor online n see how things run.

Well, with my nano- 34 gallon, I run a refugium- no bio pellets or GFO. though, I do have a GFO reactor- just never had reason to use it. In my refugium, I run bare bottom with Live rock and Chaeto. Pre Refugium, I have my protein skimmer. My refugium holds 21 gallons, running capacity is 17 gallons. I keep a 4 gallon sump for ATO that requires a weekly fill.

The skimmer is what I have leftover from my 100g, and thought I'd lose money if I sold it to downgrade. I wish I could use chaeto, unfortunately can't get it here in New Zealand. That sump looks great though! I will just have to go with live rock/rubble in my fuge, and hope the heavy flow just to the fuge section pushes detritus out. I didn't want to go with live rock in the sump, but guess I'll have to if I want to keep my mandarin. GFO and Biopellets are there as a safety, I had nutrient problems in my larger tanks (poor planning?)

oh, I have a cleanup crew in my sump. variety of snails, hermit crabs, variety of starfish (stock for my harliquin shrimp... ). Utilize sock filters if denitris is a concern. if no sock filters, utilize a powerhead or frequent vacuum the bottom. sucks about the chaeto! would mail you some, but- I dont think it would make it... not sure how long mail would take to get to you from here...

ANY tips on what to feed mandarin dragonets in New Zealand? I want to get one but I can't get rotifers or copepods etc live here.
