protein skimmer cleaning

i clean my collection cup pretty regular (weekly)

was curious how often people cleaned the inside cylinder or how often. and if any improvement was noticed

I clean the big chamber of my skimmers about every 2 months. I notice a good difference too. I get all kinds of coralline algae inside the skimmer chamber. I use vinegar and run the skimmer in it and some water for a night.

i clean mine everyday when i empty the cup. dirty tubes slow the bubbles and decrease skimming process. have a great weekend,

I have a pm skimmer so all i clean is the waste collector and make sure the air line is free from salt buildup. other than that...nothing else.

I run a vinegar/water solution through mine every few months or so. Seems to really help.
