Protein Skimmer not Skimming

I recently upgraded my aquarium about a week ago or so. I transfered all my rock and livestock over with about 10 gallons of old water. The rest was new water(about 40 Gallons). At the same time I got a new Precision Marine RL100. The skimmer produces a good amount of bubbles, but they are not climbing the skimmer neck. They just keep popping(for a lack of better words). Any ideas?

dont sweat it. give it time. 2 things, new water and not enough organics to pull yet and the skimmer is new. give it time

btw, My mother lives in Santa Maria. Great wine country. need to visit there again soon.

i have a rl-125 and it took a week to break in. Running carbon will kill the skimmer to, i used some high grade carbon and it shut the skimmer down for a week as well.
