Protein Skimming

hey, anyone have an opinion on the idea that protein skimming improves zoanthid color? I just turned mine on after a long time of having it off to see the difference. Let me know what you guys think from past experiences.

I have never heard nor seen any coralation with improved coloration when using a skimmer. Anything's possible in this hobby I guess, I've just never heard or experienced it personally.

I thought its always been said that zoas and palys seem to like more nutrient rich water than a SPS tank.

^^ they do but I have been running my skimmer since I set the tank up and I get about 2-4 new polyps a week in my 24 aquapod. I also have a few sps in my tank.
