Hmm....those Xenia look very grey. What kind of lighting was on when you took the shot? They should be more of a pink/white, no?

Very nice torch coral too!

yeah i didnt adjust the white balance or anything, just snapped with AWB, will get a better shot once the Xenia is opened up a bit.

ok heres the second go, white balance off of white paper inside tank.

this is the difference between AWB and custom WB in T5 actinics/actinic+/full spectrum:

The lighting was not changed, and not PS'd.

the torch looks nice, whats up with the die-off on it? Did it die off at the LFS? If I were you I'd break them off, or try to cut them off, they aren't pretty like that torch is.

took a crack at those xenias in ps, this look accurate at all?

Dont know the whole back-story, got them from a guy who is moving, can i just snap those stalks off without hurting the viable heads?

Also on the pic, yeah that is a it more accurate! what filters did you use... i have photoshop here, but im working on photo skills before i master my pshopping.

actually all I really did was take the "LEVELS ADJUSTMENT" and I just fiddled with them until I lined them up with what "should" be correct. And since you and your camera were both up to the task they come out beautifully. From PS, Image>Levels.

You should be able to snap those stalks off without any problem whatsoever, just do it with care. If the coral is new to your tank, give it a few weeks to a month to "get used" to conditions in your tank. This may help to reduce un-needed stress. Good luck man, I love your corals coloration and all, if you ever need any thing just let me know, I can frag anything I have.

oh man thanks a million! i would definitely like to take you up on that offer! i have cycled my tank for a month, and put these two in, looking around town for good deals/frags whatnot. I will keep in touch with you via PM.
Since they are just in, i think i will let them acclimate for a bit before i start snapping them into pieces.
That store looks like a dream to work in and i would order those black and white oscellaris if you guys did mailorder, cuz San Diego county is BONE DRY.

that'd be your best bet, shipping fish and corals can be risky business. (I happen to know our distributor is out of L.A. I believe, you may be able to go through them as well
