Pseudanthias ignitus

Hello all,

Two questions:

1. Will these anthias do well in home aquariums? I am well aware of the requirements of anthias and have kept them for a few years, but just want to make sure they aren't one of the species which seem to die no matter what, pick eachother off, turn to males, etc. I would like to add a few female P. ignitus to my group which consists of mostly lyretails and 2 bimacs.

2. Does anyone have a source for 3 or so female P. ignitus? The only place I can find them for sale is LA, and they can't take requests on gender (Which makes it pretty useless to carry them IMO, but that's another thread...).

I would like to add the Ignitus Anthias also. I researched them and found them to be hardier than dispars, but a little bit less hardy than Barletts or Lyretails. So basically a good choice. The're mortality rate is far less than purple queens and sunburst... so worthy of a shot.

Live Aquaria is the only place I know of online... and unfortunately as you found out they don't sex this species. You could request it though in the order coment filed or order all small ones.

I emailed and asked - they said they can't fulfill requests like this.
