Psych head wrasse(red tail tamarin male) What to feed?

sorry for the intense words but it seems that people make no comment except to put down what has been observed so with that being said I'm sorry and i guess mine just were poor specimens .my dialog is based only on my experiences on this fish and mine were really nuts . does your cruise the tank 24/7 as mine did ? its funny that both my males were this way but it happens and others may have better luck than me .

sad..... he doesn't take the artic pods either i don't know what else to try.... mine cruises all day looking for food pecks on rocks but i dont seem to see any pods at all where he pecks. maybe he has better eyesight than me. well i don't think he is going to make it for much longer. maybe i'll try again some other time and isolate my next specimen and get him feeding before i add to my tank of aggressively feeding fishes. well there is still hope but thanks for everything guys what a shame such a beautiful fish.

I have a trio with a former super male (turned back to a male). they have been in my tank for three years and have survived a kalk overdose (lost my fairy wrasses). Mine eat mysis and pick on the LR. they also eat pellets that make it to the bottom. It is important to get very healthy ones and make sure they are eating when you buy.

have you gotten him any live brine as they simply cant resist it but its not very nutritious but it gets them started feeding in your aquarium .

live brine shrimp dont come around that often where i am from maybe i'll try to beg a couple of lfs to bring them in lol thanks for all your hope only time will tell what the faith of this poor wrasse will be

You aren't kidding about this! The one female tamarin I had was always on the move and always swimming up against the glass (as mentioned before). I saw a harem during a dive in Hawaii. They were so active it looked like a dense ball of fish tumbling across the reef.

It is definitely a plus to get one that is eating well beforehand. Even then, this is a tough one to keep. I think live brine is worth a try to spark feeding. You could always soak them in vitamins, too. Good luck.
