Dear Roger:

I just got one of the two 6000s and my 7095 controller, and in reading the manual for the controller, I have a question. I understand the functions of the pulse setting, and the interval settings, but I am a bit unsure what the difference is between interval 1 and 2. Also, If I run the controller on the interval setting, will each stream still pulse bewteen the power settings I have selected (as per the setup for pulse settings)? Am I even making sense?

I plan on 2 6000s on opposite ends of a 90, with mostly SPS, a few clams, and some softs and sparse LPS (ie-zoos, stars, a few mushrooms, some plates on the floor).

Ultimately, do you suggest the pulse or interval setting? I know this is subjective, but opinions do count. Thanks.

The pumps still pulse in interval mode. Interval 1 is one pump off, one pump pulsing, Interval 2 idles one pump at 30% power and pulses the other. I like Interval 2 with a pulse the most. Interval 2 lengthens the time between cleaning in most cases. It also adds safety since most fish can't enter the pump while it is running.

BTW, thanks! I usually just like goofy movies like Airplane but Flash Gordon is one of the few serious movies I like, besides Chuck Norris, Charled Bronson and Clint Eastwood movies :)
