Pulsing Sinularia

Can anyone tell me how hardy these are? Do they ship as well as other leathers?

Also what is a good price for a small (~2") frag?

I bought two from FREED for 35 each.. About 2 inches each. I would be willing to sell them if you are interested, same price and 20 bucks for shipping.

That sounds like a reasonable price to me. IME its a really sturdy coral. I have 2 colonies (originally 1 small frag) that grow faster than most any other coral in the tank, and havent had an issue with short transits (under 8 hours)

LOL I think everybody got theirs from FREED  I got mine from him about 2yrs ago. It was a 2" frag and now its about the size of a softball, maybe a little bigger. FREED' is HUUUUUUUUUUGE!!! If I remember right it was about basketball sized. Its a nice piece when the polyps are out and it does pulse under low flow. If the polyps arent out its kinda ugly if you ask me. With that said I like mine. Definatley a rare one.

Mine will have its polyps out for weeks at a time then go in for a few days, and it is ugly, then boom back to normal. Mine looks a little darker than yours, but it is young.

That is a lot pinker than mine, mine has more of a brown tint to it, should I move it closer to the lights??? I have 250 W DE halides 15K, and the frags are on the bottom of the tank/

I have 2 morphs, the tannish ones pictured above look the same as the one I got from Anthony Calfo 3+ years ago. I don't see the slightly redder morph I found which has slightly thinner branches and has a more complete eversion to the polyp when pulsing (which I gave to Anthony about 2 years ago. And I WILL try to get some pics up but if anyone has both strains and can post the comparison shots, that would be cool. I'll bring this thread to the attn. of some I know with both types.-Jim
