Pump and intake ???

Hi, this is my first post here on this site or any saltwater site.

I have a new 220 tank that has been running for about 3 weeks.

I have two return pumps and 2 bulkheads returning water. When i have the 2 pumps running at the same time they just suck the water right out of the sump and then they start blowing air bubbles in the tank and it is very loud.
I have a large sump with a skimmer running inside of it.

I have 2 intakes and one is barely bringing any water down to the sump.

Are my pumps to big?

Why is only one intake bringing all of the water down??

do you have any pics? what size are the are the drains. what kind of return pumps are you using?

Sounds to me like there is way too much return flow and not enough drain flow. I'd almost definitely say your pumps are overpowering the drain(s). Do you have any valves post return pumps that you can try closing a bit? Have you tried running just one return pump?
Need a bit more info. Such as internal overflow? How many drains and how many returns? Do you have two overflows if internal? Size of drain and return tubing?

I re-read and see that there are two returns and two drains. Are they in internal or external overflow boxes?
