pump for a 60 Cube

Roger,

Will a 6105 throttled all the way down with the new wide flow shroud work in a 60 cube?

I plan to upgrade tanks once I move out of my third story condo and would prefer to buy just once.

It will work, but will be fairly overpowered. You could just use the lower voltage jumpers (or a controller) to lower the flow rate. If you weren't planning to get a larger tank, then a pair of 6095s would be a better choice, but you can definitely make the 6105 work.
