Hi i have the 2 pump doser, Its been in use roughly 2 mos dosing kalk twice a day. The other doses MG.
One pump is not working, I suspect it has gone bad. The manuall overide lights up but the pump will not fire. The second pump works just fine.

Klak is one of the hardest wearing nutrients for a doser, especially if its does not get put in suspension well enough.

Your best best bet is to see if it is the doser itself or the motor, sounds like the doser has just got stuck, so strip it down and clean it out

I did that, The motor needs to be manually spun to get it going. It will not fire on its own. I Run warm RODI thru the heads on every refill. I have owned high end dosers before.

I took the head apart and cannot find any blockage from kalk. Or a kalk blocker. ;) Anyways Its the pump that is fried.
:(

I dose kalk too and mine has stopped twice now.

Both times the end of the tube was full of kalk and plugged up. The second time I trimmed the tube going into the sump so it wasn't sitting in water and that has kept it from clogging on me again.

I've also started running a warm water/vinegar mix through each one once a month to keep it clean.

Hopefully it's that easy for you too.

I just swapped the heads out and both work perfect.
The pump just wont start on its own.

Yes with Kalk no matter what make the doser that is being used needs very regular maintenance or you will burn the motor out, you are basically pushing solids and very sticky solids at that through a liquid drive.

If you run the motor free for a while it should clear other than that you will need a new motor.

I have owned a litremeter, and wanted to have all profilux to controll all of my needs. I have owned the litremeter for years without incident.
I use a watery DISSOLVED kalk solution for ph purposes only I run a CA/RX for all my cal needs. I use a 5 gal of rodi with 3 teaspoons of kalk and 50 ml of vinigar and have it stirred 2 times a day to keep it dissolved. Vinigar for a carbon source and dissolve kalk.
The ends are free from obstruction. Thats the first thing i checked
Looks like i just got a pump that died permaturely. I may be lacking in comp skill's but i know mechanics.
I agree kalkwaser will plug up fast i have been using it for over 4 years and know its traits.
When i bought this doser Scott from AS called me as i ordered the 1 pump doser and said he TRIED and could not get one of the pumps out because he had only the 2 pump models in stock so i took the the 2 pump model. Guess i should have told him to keep the one he took apart instead of send it to me.

Hi Creetin,

we will get this fixed. Pumps and motors can be replaced individually.
I wonder why your pump stopped working, but more important is to get your system running ASAP. Please contact Aqua Digital for details.

when we receive the old one back we will look what has worn as GHL always looks for improvements if indeed any are required.

Thanks Again, From what it seems the motor looks to have some play in the drive shaft. Any varience and the motor shuts down.
The pump mech looks to be alright. I'll send both back though.
Thanks guys!
Alex.
