Pump noises

Hello,

I have been having some trouble with my Mag drive 7 pump. Is is making some odd noises as if there was an air bubble or something in there. I don't really know what an air bubble would sound like im just guessing. I tried taking it apart once, did not really do anything.

It is a circulation pump only, nothing connected to it. Has about 2.5 feet of head on it. Been running 24/7 for a couple weeks.

Any suggestions? It's not really THAT annoying, just don't want anything to break.

Thank you

I had a mag 18 that I was using for mixing saltwater in the garage and it started making noises. I didn't think anything of it, because it was in the garage and not bothing me. Wish I would have taken it apart right away. Turns out the ceramic shaft broke and wore the magnet mortion of the impeller and the inside of the pump. It ended up ruining the pump. just pull your impeller out and make sure there is no uneven wear. The problem with mine is wore throught on the magnetic coils in the pump.

Thanks, this pump is actually a replacement to one I had before that had a defect in the molding. There was a little nub of plastic that was eating away at the impeller. Lucky for me it was a manufacturer defect and they replaced it for me.
