Pump Placement with ETSS Skimmer in Sump

Getting ready to install an ETSS Reef Devil Deluxe in my 100 gallon Rubbermaid sump.

As the water depth is 18 inches and the skimmer is designed to work @ a maximum depth of 7 inches, I will elevate the skimmer 11 inches to keep it within specs.

Question is regarding the pump placement.

I could put it at the same level of the skimmer (shortest head/more output) or on the bottom of the sump.

Looking for opinions on placement for the best skimming. I don't know if it would pull more from the floor of the sump or if it matters at all?

Obviously mounting is up with the skimmer would increase turnover.

Thanks!
