pump replacement for Turboflotor 1000

I got an used Turboflotor 1000 that comes with a RIO 2100. It is the most noisy equipment right now.

1) Is there a mod that can quiet this sucker?
2) What is a good replacement pump that is compatible with the Turboflotor's needle wheel? It must be quiet as my aquarium is making enough noise already .

I have the 1000 mutli and has the older aqua medic 2500 pump (small). Quiet etc...Problem is my needle wheel is broken it is impossible to find this older 2500's.

I bought a new 2500 pump and it is WAY different. I like the skimmer but I am geting a new skimmer; aquac 120 or 180. I had enough with the aqua medic.

Second the OR2700. Very nice pump. It will increase the performance of your skimmer so much you may have to restrict the air a little to keep it from overflowing.
