I am constructing a new brood stock system and I am trying to figure out what pump I need. right now its between the Sequence manta ray and the tiger shark My system will have 20 20 gallon tanks and aqua c ev 240, 25 micron filter, current gamma 120 watt UV sterilizer and a bio ball tower with 2 cubic ft of media. So i need a pretty big pump. I would like my turnover rate to be at least 10- 15x per hour per tank and run all the filters but the skimmer.

I am not familar with the specs of pumps listed but in my experience with my system, I have a Mag 24 plumbed into just (6) 20 longs and will eventually upgrade to a stronger pump with more flow/turnover. Yellowslayer has a valid question, what livestock are you planning to put in the system?

Get a mans pump:D

Buy a Pentair seahorse pump, they are cheaper, can take abuse, easy to repair and pump lots of more water than sequence. I run my 20-40 gal. and 10-70 gal. system with one 1 hp pump plus the big bio filters and the 7' skimmer.

How many fish you planning on having in each 20 gal. tank? the bio filter seems kind of small.

I have 2 pair maroons, 2 pair orange skunks, 1 pair black saddleback, 4 pair black & 6 pair orange ocellaris,3 pair onyx perc's and 3 pair picasso percs. the max height will be about 6'

This system is for broodstock so about 20 pairs. My growout system has the big bio filter around 4 1/2 cubic ft does that sound ok for 10-12k juvi's
