Pump suitable for pumping skimmate

What size tubing and how much head?
1/2" tubing slides right onto the output of the maxijet. I'm not sure the head. At least 3. You just need enough to start the siphon. Any pump that will fit should work. I just happen to have an over abundance of maxijets laying around for some reason.

Never used one myself, but I bet a Danner Mag Drive would work well in this application. Never wanted to use one as a return.

The pump or tubing doesn't ever get gummed up? I wasn't sure about relying on only a siphon with small tubing because I wasn't sure it would be maintenance free.

I haven't had any issues yet but doesn't mean it wont happen. Worse thing that would happen is my bucket fills up and my skimmer is shutdown.

I just want to say the pump works beautifully. It pumps up from my skimmate container 7 feet, over 10 feet along the ceiling, all using 1" PVC, then reduces to 0.5" tubing into the floor drain. All I need to do is turn the pump on for about 10 seconds, then the siphon takes over. Skimmer cleaning and a water change done with the push of a button!
