Pumping water out of my house HELP!

I am in the process of trying to plumb my water change/waste water out of my house. My tank will be located in my basement. I was wondering if I can just tap into one of my drain lines (say from my kitchen sink where the pipes come through the floor and flow straight out). Would this be acceptable? Will I need to worry about any backflow?

My next thought is... If I pump this water out and I have atleast 20 feet of hose before it gets to the sewer line... how do I get this water to completely flush out of the house without pushing more water through it, because I do not want any of that water to flow back into my tank...

any help and suggestions would be great, sorry if I did not make this clear enough.

You can tap into a house drain line as long as you pay attention to the need for a P trap. So, if you tap into a house drain line post the P-trap, you will have to build one into your tank drain line.

I pump "old" SW into my basement sump pit. An air gap ensures no chance of reverse flow.

I have been doing this for 6yrs with no adverse affect on the sump pump.

What about pumping all the water out of the hose? I will have over 20 feet of hose that it will have to run through... how do I make sure to clear all of it out once I am at the level I want to be for my water change?

As long as you have a steady decline in the hose, you should be fine.

Where does your sump empty to Indymann? Mine empties into the neighbors yard so that only works occasionally.
Sounds like you need to do a manual flush Chill. How about your RO waste water?

I will have to go straight up about 8 feet then run the pvc about 20-30 feet depending on where I tap into. thats a long way to make the pvc pipe gradually decline all the way. I do not think that will work. I have 3 options of where I can tap into. Kitchen sink drain, laundry room drain, or the pipe that drops straight into the sump pump in my basement (would like to refrain from using the sump pump)

The straight up portion will drain back to the source unless you have a check valve and clean out.

The 20-30 ft. run, needs to be sloped toward the drain. Minimum is 1/4inch per foot. So for 20-30 ft. that would be 5-7.5 inches.

Have you considered consulting a plumber? Hooking into your sewer lines incorrectly could get NASTY!

I have a contractor working at my house as we speak finishing out my basement, I was going to have him run the line while he was there. Which is why I am trying to figure all of this out right now in preparation.

I like what you have. I just dont know if i will be able to make it work since I have so much space to cover, and I have to go up 8-9 feet before it starts to travel down to either my basement sump pump, or a drainage line.

I am starting to think I should run the pvc pipe before I put up my drywall and just have the waster water pump into my basement sump pump to be pumped out... just dont know about having saltwater touch that pump...

Kind of like the PVC pipe that runs around the wall (to the left) behind the studs.

I think that is the best idea... but all of my pipes that lead to outside are in the ceiling of my basement... I dont think I could run the pipes all the way around my basement then up 8 feet to fall into a sewage pipe (or any pipe) to go outside.

running the pipe around the basement wall and declining all the way around, and then ending at my sump pump where it grinds the toliet paper and doodoo and shoots it out would be a good solution, but Im not real sure I want saltwater to ever touch that...
