Purchased Blue Linckia with lump

I just purchased a blue linckia starfish online and when i received it I found it had a large lump on one of it's arms.

Is this bad? I asked the dealer and they said if it dies contact them but didn't go into detail if it was bad or nothing to worry about.

I regret buying this guy because I didn't do my homework on it before I purchased it now knowing they are difficult to keep and probably should only be bought on sight.

Any help would be appreciated!

Probably nothing to worry about, but Linckia are nearly impossible to keep fed anyway and most end up starving to death in home aquariums. I would just return it or say it died and see if you get a credit.
