Some pictures right before lights out and cipro...
Column seems to be getting bigger, and the foot is now fully grasping the rock which is a huge improvement from last night. Certainly when this guy is healthy, at least 6" if not bigger. This is a big boy.
I've seen mags and gigs in MUCH worse shape, so hoping he pulls through....

Alright, so fixed the white balance.. This should help my pictures when taking them of my big reef... yay..
So when I walked down today and lights were out, I was able to see the entire pedal and it looked good actually... Mouth was tight and overall posture looked more relaxed. Foot was large, and firmly planted.. that's a great sign in my opinion..
After lights came on, now looks like this, and has been expelling waste a LOT since it came here... Nothing black like the rat poop I've heard to look for, but regular brown waste.. Could this be bad zoox it's purging?
This is how it looked after changing 50% of the water, and turning LEDs on, so my guess is the Mag is acclimating to real LED lighting and not what it was getting at the LFS.

Thanks. So far so good... Couldn't have asked for a better result so far.. From what he looked like at the LFS to now.. big difference.

Awesome job so far, hope he continues to get better and ultimately pulls through. I he does recover what's the arrangement with the LFS from there? Will you just give him back and hope he makes it in there system?

Thanks, I'm hoping he pulls through as well.. Seems to be getting out a lot of his zoox, and looking better today... Tonight is night #3 of cipro..
The arrangement is I'm bringing him back once he's ready and looks healthy enough to go back into their system.. My guess is, when he's medicated, and whatever was bothering him internally is cured, shouldn't be an issue being in their system.. it's a large one, and he will be under Radions.. The owner of the LFS is making a beautiful 93G cube shotank, and I'm trying to convince him to put the Mag right in the middle, on top should it all work out.. Hoping it works out for everyone!
Either way, I have a cozy relationship with this LFS so I'm going to make sure this Mag goes to a good home.

Tonight will be day #6 of cipro and the Mag is looking MUCH better.. will get a picture tomorrow morning after water change. Going back to the LFS in its own nano cube to recover until it needs a larger home..
I moved my LEDs up about 18" from the water, because where I had them right up against the top of the tank seemed like way way too close... Light is up higher, and Mag looks much more relaxed.

Yup, I'm just treating it, and tomorrow the Mag is going back to the LFS. They have a dedicated nano cube for it to recover in peacefully until it's ready for a big tank of its own!
I know this LFS well, and just tryting to help out a Mag. Without your knowledge and research this Mag did not stand a chance. For that, it says thank you kind Sir!

Nah, they don't owe me anything I stated that right from the get go. I'm not doing this to get anything in return, I am doing this to help save this animal from the death that was coming if no one stepped up.

The Mag was just brought back to the LFS, and is in its own biocube for now until its ready to move to something bigger.... When I left it, mouth was tight, tentacles were starting to inflate nicely, and overall looking much much better..
