Purple Deaths Food Catching?

Another thing of my huge bland palys do this, but my purple deaths have been snatching up food pellets, they dont expel waste or seem to let them go, so I imagine they eat it. Anyone elses do this and does it help growth?

Some of my larger polyps catch food. I assume they are eatting it. The varieties with the PE type slit for a mouth seem to be more capable at catching their own food. I think it increases growth slightly. IMO

Most, if not all, Protopalythoa will catch and eat pretty sizeable chunks of food.

Agree with peter, Protopalythoa and Palythoas due have the capability of catching food... and maybe with some species of zoanthus gigantus as well.

I totally feed my PD's!! love it. They are pigs!! growing like mad too. I say Feed them!! I never see waste but trust me they are definatley eating! lol gl

I crush sinking pellets that fall in there polyps, as well as my Nuke greens and PPE's

My PDs will actuallytake mysis. They close up around it. Have not really watched long enough to see if they digest, but Im pretty sure they do.
