the purple striped dottyback i had (and now lives in johnike's sump) was a total impulse buy. i went in for mysis and came out with the fish. couldn't resist the colors even though the lfs guy told me he "could be trouble". i scoffed and said i'll give it a try. now i have an orange spotted goby with no tail. not just no tail fin...i mean NO tail!
i get most of my fish from liveaquaria but occasionally the lfs will have something that catches my eye. when that happens, i whip out my phone and go straight to LA to check compatibility.
