Hey guys, i have a 48x24x14" DT with quite a bit of rock works. currently house a fire goby and some other fishes, would like to add a purple fire goby to my tank, will there be any fighting issue?

thanks!

I have both in my tank, which is much larger without any issue. The red firefish are out most of the time (10 of them) the purple firefish only shows up occassionally during feeding time.

I have a friend with a 225 and he keeps both as well.

I have a 150G, and I have 2 firefish and 1 Helfrichi. When the lights are on, all 3 are out. When the lights are off the Helfrichi is sometimes out and the other two are gone. I think it will come down to luck, you might be okay but you might have fighting.

If you can I would add the largest purple firefish you can find, this way he should be able to hold his own in the beginning

Would love to see a pic or, even better, a video of your 10 firefish. Sounds amazing. How long have you had them?

3 of the red firefish are over a year old. The girl friend loves them, so I got her twelve more about 2 months ago. We only see 6-10 out most of the time, but they are in 2 different groups on different sides of the tank, and with over 120 fish in the tank it's hard to get them all out at the same time for a photo.

Cool. How about a full tank shot. Pretty please. Your tank sounds amazing.

I have a thread with lots of photos in the big tank forum. It's called o2manyfish 400g Built thread. In there is also a link to a live webcam and you can watch the tank whenever you like.

Thanks. Just checked out your thread. That is a beautiful tank and quite a testament to your knowledge and dedication. I especially love your group of yellow tangs. After seeing large groups snorkeling off the Big Island, singles always just leave me wanting. Cheers.
