Purple gig rescue.

While at the local petco I saw a purple gig that was sick struggling. After talking to the manager and after getting a smoking deal (it was ridiculous) I brought it home to my qt tank.
My last few rescue attempts failed due to them being very sick and the last was a beautiful green gig. My Cipriani was exposed to bad conditions and the gig deteriorated fast. But I figured I would try this one because it was a purple and wasn't as sick. So I've been treating for a week as of today and the posture has definitely improved and is looking healthier. The first pic is of it in the bag showing it's lack of posture.

and 2 days into treatment.

Looks good keep up the good work. The dead zoox coming out looks promising too. IME if the gig isn't strong enough to push it out it will die.

Looking good. Best of luck. I was at my local last Tuesday. Saw a bunch of Haddoni and one greenish Gigantea that was beyond help. I wish I saw it Friday. I would have get him then even before they put him into their tank

I go on Fridays which is their delivery day. They had a larger green one that looked in bad shape over all. It stood up right and had shortened and missing tents. I am limited in size with just a 45 tall. And a good size magnifica that is still going through acclimatize to the DT. So I regret not having the means to get it. Especially because the price was not a hinderance. This guy has been under a simple led strip. So today I'm going to put together a rapid led light and use it for the qt. See if I can get it to keep its color since I may keep it in qt a little longer.

Well today was the 8th day of treatment and I think Its time to stop. The gigs posture is much improved and stronger. Still pushing zoox this morning. I'm thinking of keeping it out a couple days and then placing it in the dt. Well at least that's my plan right now lol.
