purple green stellata placement?

Can't seem to find any placement info for this purple green stellata that I picked up at a swap last month. Seems to be ok mid way up but the flow is low in its spot. Any experience with it would be appreciated!

Mine gets better coloration, purple, the higher it is placed in the tank.
