Purple LTA help!

well Tuesday i bought about a 6-7" purple long tentacle anemone and he seemed extremely healthy.

Last night he wasn't as open as the prior days and up until right now he was slowly shrinking to now about 2.5" across. So he's currently all shriveled up.

Things i have done since he's been in the tank. i fed him blood worms on tuesday which he ate, and on friday i did a 15gal water change and i gave him mysis shrimp with silcon and garlic x in it which i also feed my fish with on occasion.

where the LTA is currently located he has easily in 3-4" on sand. i do have a cleaner shrimp that goes over every once and awhile and checks him out. i'm not sure if that is irritating him. Please help me you guys.

My water perimaters are:

Nitrates:0-3ppm
Nitries:0
Ammonia:0
ph: 8.2
salinity: 1.025
temp: 79
alk: 5
phosphates: > .5

yes it is under a 6 bulb SP. i did not acclimate it to my lights however it was under a 4 bulb t5 in the Pet store. What exactly are the signs of it pooping? i don't see anything coming out of it haha.

my light cycle currently for my tank is lights on for 10 hours. 5 of the 10 being all six bulbs in the mid afternoon and the other 5 with just two.

Did the T5's at the LFS have individual reflectors? If not, I would put some screening b/t your tank and the lights; think that 2 layers would work, and remove one layer in 5-7 days, and the other one in 10-14 days.

Are you running carbon? My purple LTA always shrinks up when its time to change the carbon. Once there is fresh carbon in the filter my anemones open up really big. I also wouldn't soak its food in garlic. Its great for getting fish to eat but it does nothing for anemones.

i actually changed my carbon friday with the water change. he's still alive. but has been staying small pretty much the entire day. he came out to about 40% at some point this afternoon but now he's back to very small. im sad. this sucks.
