I have ordered 5 magnifica anemones from their 'collector's' section over the past year. 2 of the 5 came in looking like their photos. The other 3 looked nothing like their photos. On the website, the blue, green, and purple coloration looked amazing. When they got to me, the colors were very drab, and, had I seen them in person, I would not have paid the 'premium' amount that I did. They did not appear to be the same anemones.
I contacted them and asked if they photoshopped their pics and they said no. I asked if the pics were taken under high actinic and they said no.
However, I do believe that they do take their pics under heavy actinic or at least 20K halides, so be prepared for a less stellar animal if its a blue, purple, or green specimen.
That being said, all but one of the anemones arrived in very good condition, very well packaged, and with a great acclimation kit. They were great at giving me credit for the anemone that did not look well upon arrival and started decaying a day later. I did send photos of it directly upon arrival while still in the shipping bag, later upon acclimation, and then again as it started to decay in my tank. Upon seeing the photos, they gave me the credit without question.
I will order from them again, but I'll have more realistic expectations on the coloring of some things.
