Purple LTA

Anyone have experience with one of these? I'm looking to add an anemone and was considering a LTA. I understand they like soft sand beds, so would be on the bottom of the tank. I have sufficient lighting and like the idea of it being low, as apposed to a BTA which would tend to be higher in the tank. Would also like my perculas to host, even though they don't naturally. Any problems with hosting?

How deep is your sandbed? And what lights do you have?

I currently have a tan/green one, it took my SI percs 6 days to be hosted by it -- color shouldn't matter.

In the past I had a purple one (( sold it )) that hosted a pair of pink skunks and then a pair of B&W Os.

iv never had a MACRODACTYLA DOREENISS(Long Tentacal Anemone).but from what iv seen and read your AMPHIPRION PERCULA(Percula clown)will host your anemone.i will not say that it will be instantly, but they should take to it after a while.most of the time clowns will take to an anemone if given the proper conditions.but be sure that you can provide every thing that the anemone need.if you do not do so the anemone will not last long and eill more than likely die.

Depending on the size of the LTA, might have to have the sand deeper in its area.

What wattage MH, and how many ? (( it surely seems like it would be enough, but the odds are good that you will have to acclimate it to your lights -- IME, that helps them settle in faster. ))

150w DE pendant over a 25gal Solana (FS). I saw a tank shot of one of your tanks on the true perc thread with your LTA and percs Todd. That is pretty much what I plan on doing. Anemone and percs front and center, with assorted complimentary corals and inverts.
